5th Annual Share the Warmth Coat Drive Announced by the Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society

posted: October 9, 2020

The Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society, through its Ethical Action Team, announces the 5th annual Share the Warmth Coat Drive. 2020 again highlights the Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society’s partnership with the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA to provide essential winter clothing for those in need who live in the Susquehanna Valley.

The issues of 2020 have placed a spotlight on the financial difficulties for many individuals and families. The number of families living at poverty level is nearly 15%. These are just some of the families who are in desperate need of assistance. As the cold weather rapidly approaches, your help is needed to provide winter clothes to those who cannot provide for themselves.

The Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society will be collecting new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, boots and snow pants on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the East Buffalo Township Building Parking Lot, located at 589 Fairground Road, Lewisburg, PA. Our goal this year is to collect 100 coats. All donations will be accepted at this location from 9:00 am – Noon. There are so many children in need of assistance. But part of the joy of living in the Susquehanna Valley is knowing that local residents care about each other and take pride in responding with kindness and a willingness to help.

Your donations are essential to keeping our children warm. We look forward to seeing you on October 17th. The Susquehanna Valley Ethical Society is dedicated in its mission to assist our local children in need. Please contact Patricia Arduini at [email protected] with questions or to make other arrangements for drop off of items.
