UPCOMING SUMMER PROGRAMS AT R. B. WINTER STATE PARK

Everyone is encouraged to get outdoors and attend events that are planned at R. B. Winter State Park throughout the summer season. Programs are free unless other wise noted; donations are encouraged to cover event costs. Some programs do require advance registration, these are noted below.

The Halfway Run Environmental Learning Center Open will be from 1-4 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through out the regular summer season if staff or volunteers are available. We do recommend calling to confirm that the building will be open before planning a visit. The Center offers displays of Pennsylvania wildlife, hands on activity centers appropriate for children and adults, a nature oriented library and our viewing window which overlooks one of the park’s wildlife gardens. It may be possible to open the building for organized groups on other dates but advance arrangements need to be made as soon as possible and are dependent on the availability of staff. Age appropriate programs can also be scheduled for daycare organizations and camps. Please contact the park for a list of program topics and options!
