The Evangelical Gala, Evangelical Community Hospital’s premier fundraising event, will take place on Saturday, March 7 at Larison Hall on the campus of Bucknell University. The Gala begins with a 5:30 pm cocktail hour and a silent auction, followed by dinner and dancing to music provided by Paris, a Philadelphia-based band. The band specializes in high-energy performances ranging from oldies to current hits to ballads and everything in between.
Proceeds from this year’s Gala, including ticket sales, auctions, and donations will support Evangelical’s cancer care initiatives. Committed to providing families of the Greater Susquehanna Valley with personalized and state-of-the-art cancer services, Evangelical Community Hospital has been growing its oncology programming through new services and partnerships to assist patients and caregivers with a variety of cancer diagnoses.
Evangelical is broadening the scope of care for cancer patients and their loved ones with access to leading-edge technology, life-saving treatment options, genetic testing, and research trials, as well as pioneering survivorship support programming.
One of this year’s featured auction items is a Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience in Germany donated by Mercedes-Benz of State College. The travel package includes round-trip airfare, four or five day accommodations for two, Mercedes-Benz factory tour with lunch, and a self-guided driving tour through the Black Forest and Austrian Alps in a luxurious Mercedes-Benz.
The 2015 Gala has been generously supported by businesses and friends of the Hospital. This year’s Grand Sponsor is Stantec, a professional design and consulting firm.
The silent auction will be powered by BidPal, a mobile bidding system, again this year. Guests are encouraged to bring their smart phones to bid on fantastic items and experience including trips, jewelry, and artwork. Kiosks will also be available to place bids.
Reservations for tickets to the black-tie optional event can be made by calling 570-522-2685 and are needed by February 14, 2015.
