Fall Family Fun Day in Millersburg
Ned Smith Center will host a “harvest” of autumn fun on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. This annual event is designed to increase awareness of the natural world with many activities for children and families, including live animal presentations.
Fall frolic-ers can also get their face painted, visit the pumpkin patch, create a fall decoration at the “Art Creation Station,” and try their skills at a round of Pumpkin Bowling and children’s train rides. There will also be a live animal presentation by ZooAmerica.
The Center’s galleries will also be open that day, so attendees can visit the Olewine Gallery as well as the Ned Smith Gallery and the gift shop. Admission to the galleries is free to all Fall Family Fun Day attendees.
Ned Smith Center Director of Education Beth Sanders feels that this event is right in line with the Center’s mission to merge the worlds of nature and the arts.
Admission is $5 for ages 2 and older. The first 100 children with Family Memberships to the Ned Smith Center will receive a free pumpkin. Families may download a coupon for one free adult admission from the Center’s website, www.nedsmithcenter.org.
