Our 8th annual Plein Air workshop presenter, award-winning Susan Nicholas Gephart, has been exhibiting and painting pastel and oil landscapes for over fifty years.  Her passion to explore the landscape is expressed through a unique use of color, texture, and atmosphere, capturing the emotion of a moment with spontaneity and directness.  The goal for her demonstration, featuring pastels with an underpainting done in watercolor, will be to connect the plein air process to all attendees and mediums. She will also share tried and true plein air tips and tricks.

The workshop, open to artists of all ages and skill levels, will be held Sunday, May 1, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Dale-Engle-Walker property, 1.5 miles west of Lewisburg off Route 192 (1471 Strawbridge Road, Lewisburg PA 17837).   Artists 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Bring your own lawn chair and preerred art supplies.

Registered participants will be invited to submit their work to the Art Show held at the Public Library for Union County in June.
