Susquehanna University’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble

Susquehanna University’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform concerts at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 3, in Stretansky Concert Hall in the Cunningham Center for Music and Art. The events are free and open to the public.

The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, under the direction of David Rohrer, adjunct faculty member in music, will perform “Moorside March” by Gustav Holst, “Symphony #3 ‘Slavyanskaya’” by Boris Kozhevnikov, “Smiling After the Rain” by Yukiko Nishimura, as well as “Windsprints” by Richard Saucedo, “Everything Beautiful” from “The Stillness of Remembering” by Samuel R. Hazo, and two dances from “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett.

The university Symphonic Band was selected to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s State Conference in April of 2022.
